Thank You For Your Generosity

Many thanks to all of you for your donations, volunteer work, school supplies and your generous support of Agualongo school. Many of you have visited the school and it is real joy for the children. I think this says a lot for the gringos living in Cotacachi and people/friends from various countries. Your contributions are greatly appreciated by everyone involved in the project.

Here is a quick update on the current school project:

The school is making great progress. Our next project is an eating area for the children. You will see from the photos this is not a healthy or appetizing area for lunches.

The following materials are needed to help these children have a clean safe place for meals.

  • Concrete
  • Sand
  • Stones
  • Windows
  • Paint
  • Tables
  • Benches
  • Leather
  • Door

We have someone lined up to make the benches as soon as we have the wood and leather. The great thing is that the parents will do the work when we supply the materials.

The children also need some outdoor play equipment such as swings, slide, etc. We have 28 indigenous children under the age of 5 years.

I invite you to come for a visit and experience Cotacachi, Ecuador – I have been living here for the past 6 months and have applied for permanent residency to continue my humanitarian work.
