Hi Everyone,
Thank you for all your help in repairing this school to be a safe environment for these young indigenous children. Photos were taken at the beginning of week three.
We had some heavy rains that slowed down the work a bit. The timber for the roof will be treated for termites but the wood must be dry.
Our Maestro Jamie met with some of the people from the community to have their input on the repairs. They cleaned the roof tile that is usable and we will replace new tile where needed.
We thought of putting on a metal roof but life expectancy is about 5 years. Tiles are a better way to do the roof.
As you can see from the photos the children are enjoying our company and love the yogurt and home made cookies. A wonderful treat for them.
We are moving forward and hope to be completed within another 4 weeks. Again, thank you for your financial support or just being involved.
Blessings Micky
