Visited the school July 4th with a group of 11 expats. Someone was kind enough to do the photos. Nothing was done in the school because of a week long festival called Inti Rami.
This week was not easy to get the workers back on track. What can I say? Other than… “THIS IS ECUADOR”.
I know shopping was done for a new front door and a gate to keep the children off the street.
We have the equipment for a bathroom and additional funds are required to complete the installation.
As you can see from the photos we have ‘happy’ children. Crackers, cheese, homemade jam and yogurt was totally enjoyed .
My Ecuadorian friend read them some stories and the children participated.
I must say this been a long journey but we are getting there one step at a time. The important thing is to get the children back in their classroom.
You all know about politics… even in our own country. Originally we had planned on help from the Municipality which never materialized. So with your contributions we have been able to make a difference in how these youngsters experience life in their early years.
It’s heartwarming to know that the villagers and children are grateful for all your support of their community.
This has been a worthy project and almost complete – Enjoy the photos…
Your financial support is still needed!
So if you have not yet had the chance to make a donation… and feel so inspired to do so… now would be a great time to make a donation to help us complete this school for these little tykes.
All of your donations go directly to my school projects and there are no administration fees. Blessings and thank you for contributing to the well being of these children.
