Exciting News For Project Hope

EXCITING NEWS…

EcuadorProjectHope-DrSanonDoctor Ashish Sanon, an eye surgeon from Beverley Hills, Florida, will be in Cotacachi, Ecuador between April 6th and 10th. He will be examining the poor for eye diseases in the village of Agualongo. Agualongo is the village that Ecuador Project Hope assists, through donations of school supplies, vitamins and clothing.

There are 60 preschool children and 180 babies in the village. My friend Doctor Vaca, the local medical doctor, will be assisting.EcuadorprojectHope-DrVaca Dr. Vaca has been trained in Pediatrics and Geriatrics and always willing to help the poor in this area. Doctor Sanon will be bringing donated drugs and the necessary medical equipment.

I will be in Cotacachi near the end of March to help coordinate this medical project and see that there are people to assist. My good friends who have recently moved to Cotacachi, Jack and Ilene Dennison, were kind enough to put all the donated school supplies, toys and medicines in their moving container.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER?

We are looking for volunteers who would like to visit Ecuador and volunteer some time for this project in and near Cotacachi. Contact me if you are interested. I will try to find accommodations at a nominal fee for any volunteers.

You will have an opportunity to see this village and meet the beautiful indigenous people, and the chance to help and distribute school supplies. I Guarantee Your Life Will Never Be The Same.

ONE SCHOOL AT A TIME…

Senor Renato Granja, an Ecuadorian engineer, has also donated his time in the village. Under his supervision, openings for windows have been completed in the school for light and warmth. At 8,000 ft above sea level, buildings can be cool inside.

A new roof and dropped ceiling have already been completed. With 60 children between the ages of 2 and 6 in the village, the goal is provide a safe environment and enough school supplies for their education. The school head mistress, Helana, is in charge of 13 schools, all of them without the necessary equipment or facilities to teach.

DONATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL TO HELP THIS VILLAGE.

No amount is too small. 100% of the funds donated will be used to bring in electricity, build a clean and functional bathroom and install glass for the windows in the school.

Tax receipts are available.
